Japan keeps embarrassingly undermining their notion of what expert science
and research is by trotting out this tripe "research" as phony excuses to
justify their whale slaughter in the Antarctic oceans for subsidized
whalemeat sales in Japan. Acutely needless, as that ecosystem will take care
of itself without slaughtering thousands of whales. USA researchers noticed
thinner gray whales off the western coast of the US just by observation.
(All whales off the coasts protected by the Marine Mammal Protection Act, an
act Japan should aspire to copy.) You don't need to harm ANY whales to see
the myriad of signs that global warming is affecting ecosystems.
