Theo Beerendonk (1905-1979) and Rembrandt The Dutch painter Theo Beerendonk made some kind of reprint of etchings of Rembrandt. He signed it with pencil: "Hand printed by The Beerendonk" and without date. I have seen two. It could have been printed with an originally plate, but since the one is Bartsch 1797 No.225 which plate is unknown to Erik Hinterding in Simiolus: Netherland Quarterly for the History of Art, Vol.22, No. 4 (1993-1994) pp. 253-315, I don't think that could be the explanation. Does anyone know? -- Per-Olof Johansson DK 3450 Danmark mail@per-olof.dk www.per-olof.dk[ Auf dieses Posting antworten ]
