A Channelling from George Burns.

Hello everybody...This is God again. Bet you thought you had heard the
last of me!

I was chatting to one of your own recently. You may remember him....he
wrote a song called "Imagine"...Either Lenin or Lennon, I often get
confused. I guess it must be an age thing. It happens to all of us!

Anyway, he suggested to me how good it would be if I arranged to ban
the word 'god' from your languages.Imagine that!

First of all I asked why, and then I agreed, but let him know in no
uncertain terms that I even I can only make suggestions.

His argument was this.

"People are always arguing whether you exist or not, and some will
even fight and die to push the issue.Sow how about this. You replace
the word 'god' with 'life'. That way, people can say "I dont believe
in life, I do believe in life life sucks,it does exist, it doesnt
exist, it goes on, it doesnt go on.

"Can you imagine why they would fight to the death on that basis?"

"I thought about this for a nano second" (time is not what you think
it is), and asked him "Would that mean no religion too"....

He asked me if I was joking, and didnt I remember the words of his
song. "Sure I remember, but religions have never been the same since
that Medusa character was imagined into being.You chop one off, and
two take their place."

"I guess they can still all dress up on occasions and worship their
sports stars.Singing and chanting does have a soothing effect..and
they all need that occasionally. More popular than me these days
anyway."

"Agreed"...but dont you forget. I can...oops..I should say "life" can
only make suggestions. The rest is up to them."

"While Ive got you here, give my best to Georgina Harrison....Just
loved her "Life Of Brian".

Lenny smiled 'knowingly', and said  "George is a man"......

My reply "Life's like that..you guys always take the details much too
seriously".

"Enjoy life... your choice, but thats all you have."
