It is heated by blowing hot air in the roast-chamber, however the beans are always in contact with hot surfaces such as the glass or a metal-inlay. This is some kind of "hybrid" system between drum and fluidbed. > > How would this come to play? e.g. a bean/batch doesn't proceed beyond a > certain point? Or cooks too quickly? Simply becaus the roast went different than exceptect due to various reason, for example ambient temperature, humidity, another "batch" of the same bean or whether the roaster was in use for a hour already or not ;P. > Let's say that you didn't have the GC and were buying a roaster today. > What would you choose? I think i would buy it again. Simply becaus there is no small wellpriced drum roaster out there (except for the behemor which is not using a hot-solid-drum).
