In a (polite) word, BAH!!! I remember when alt.coffee was a complete wasteland of losers, spammers, flamewars, and general shitheads (OK, that's not so polite of a word :-). Coffee was discussed at rec.food.drink.coffee, and the fights were left here. Years later, as I dig back into the online coffee community, I find that RFDC is gone, but AC has become a fairly decent place to hang out. The level of spam is low, the flamewars are fairly gentle, and the actual coffee content is surprisingly high. Also, it's usenet, with all the good that entails. If you think that it's bad here, just killfile @google.com and you'll probably find it quite pleasant. Colin[ Auf dieses Posting antworten ]
