I have to agree with you that advertising here, like email spam, is
probably effective.  Or people would not do it.

What is difficult to assess is the number of potential buyers who read
the threads and flames past the subject lines and form a negative
impression of the advertiser's business.

Or maybe the adage that all publicity is good publicity holds here,
too.

I dunno.
