I think you are talking about something else. Anti Virus programs get frequent updates. Those are not *program* updates but definition updates. I have been using ZoneAlarm for years and program updates were certainly not that often. But that begs the question, which was if one wants to use an older version such as 5.5.094 and NOT update to versions 6x or 7x, are there exploits that the earlier versions do not block? I know the newer versions of ZA (particularly Pro) add additional "features" such as monitoring your A-V program, cookie control, and identity protection. The question is whether the earlier versions have weaknesses purely in their function as a *firewall*. Gary T[ Auf dieses Posting antworten ]
