[Doing it with IrfanView] And just another thought: If changing colors is a regular task, it may be a good idea to either create a batch file or add a Registry key for the file type in question containing: C:\IrfanView\i_view32.exe "%1" /import_pal=C:\IrfanView\MyPal.pal The palette file should be created by editing the palette for an example file in IrfanView and saving it. The paths above need to be adjusted to local settings, of course. Adding the above to the registry might be the best way to always access the functionality needed. Open Regedit.exe from Windows directory and browse the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT key to the extension of the files in question (e.g.: .tif). If this contains a link to another entry (i.e. the standard value points to IrfanView.Tif, for instance) you need to go to *this* key, instead. In either way you'll find a <shell> subkey afterwards. Open it and create a new subkey like <Show Blue> and add a subkey named <command> below this new subkey. Paste the above command line to IrfanView as new Standard value into the new command key. Afterwards you should be able to access a new "Show Blue" entry for all *.tif files via right mouse menu inside the Explorer (or any other file manager). And just in case. ;-) IrfanView can be downloaded here: www.irfanview.com Applying the above palette for files with other color depth or another source palette will result in "funny" output. But as the process is temporary (as long as nobody saves the file), no harm will be done.
