I don't agree with you. This task is done in a very inefficient way before
each voting, and during the year, as Susan has to read all messages and
copy all new info about all programs into the web site, often checking up
and doublechecking info. This type of information gathering is much easier
done in a wiki, where several of the data are filled in automatically, like
who entered this, when was it entered, etc.. A lot of people can add info
independently of each other and there is no need for a middleman all info
has to pass through.

I agree with you that discussions on wiki talk pages are messy, but we have
a newsgroup we can use for discussions, and there is also a forum section
in the wiki which can be used for discussions.

Apropos the voting I have nothing against doing that in the acf, as long as
the majority of the acf participants wants to have it that way, and
somebody volunteers to take care of it.

Anyhow, in the long perspective the freeware wiki has better chances to
develop, survive and attract new participators and visitors than a web site
which is very dependent on a single person and on a newsgroup frequented by
a small bunch of serious people.
