I took up Zone Alarm's Patch Tuesday offer and installed Force Field. So far, results are underwhelming. Not only does Force Field run as a program, it loads multiple instances of ISWMGR.exe and loads a process ISWLDR.dat. The latter on my PC uses 64 mbyte of data. You cannot have FF load your most recent sites when reopening a session because Force Field does not allow you to swith off whatever it does that kills all data on exit. Anti-Phishing is built in to decent browsers these days so Force Field does nothing for you. About the only useful feature I see is 'Private Browser' that looks to kill everything and not allow cookies (so what stuff). It may prevent access to insecure sites but Spyware Balster does this without hogging memory. Does anyone have a good word for Force Field? -- Steve Due to the volume of garbage I filter out googlegroups. So do many others. Gmail posters are currently scored down pending troll filter work.[ Auf dieses Posting antworten ]
