You're not being naive, just overly concerned with a matter of little
consequence.  Few people even read, let alone believe, Hummingbird's
rants.  He's been caught red-handed more times than I can count at
pulling his sock puppetry and forging crap.  The dead giveaway to his
"ownership" is when he issues a "non-denial denial" or attacks the
accuser without directly responding to the issue.

You made a declarative statement that the sock puppets were not yours.
That's good enough for me, since that's the approach I and most people
would take when falsely accused, and you haven't given me reason to
disbelieve you.  Hummingbird, OTOH, generally responds along the lines
of "you can't prove it" which is NOT the type of response an innocent
person usually gives.  On top of that, Hummingbird HAS given me and
others repeated reasons to doubt his veracity.

Because he finds an audience for his antics.  Ignore him like many
others do here and the problem is solved.
