Obama's Nobel Peace Prize

How the hell can they award Obama a Nobel Peace Prize when he seems so
fully intent on making war with Afghanistan?  And continues to support the
war on (some) drugs?  The two greatest steps toward reducing violence
would be (1) legalize pot, and (2), pull out of foreign countries, as our
presence is one of the reasons the areas are violent.

I dunno... What would happen in the Middle East if America wasn't there?
What would happen to Israel?  Is America's presence the only reason that
other countries haven't tried to annihilate Israel with mass destrucvtion?
Is America trying to prevent nature from taking its course?  It's kind of
odd.  How can America go jump into the middle of people who have been
fighting each other for ages, and expect to stop them without picking
sides and helping that side gain victory, without also incurring the wrath
of the country they've gone against, and bringing yet more war and
violence?  I'd hate to think that America pulling out would make things
worse, but how could it really get any worse?  Some people are scared of a
civil war in Afghanistan should the USA pull out, but the USA's presence
on foreign soil is what has created an imbalance to begin with.  Their
pulling out would let things re-equalize.  Let Afghanistan grow opium.  If
people don't want it, they won't buy it.  Let the market decide, as they
say.
