court on monday

go to court monday..
im havnig one last wooohaaaa this week, then...
it will be all good cuz i will know a date when
this all ends.
I went to the "Eagles" the other night .. they were
having thier 34th year anniversary..
I got a call earlier from an Elvis impersonator..
he said he wanted me to be there.. so i show up
and he comes over and hands me a ticket for the
dinner.. there was a choice of chicken cordon blu..
or prime rib.  I hadnt had a steak in a looong time.. so
i picked the prime rib.
after dinner, we presented certificates to a bunch of
members who get r done there.
I went up with earl.  He is a super nice guy.. old as dirt.
ok.. he is 84 years old.  but he had allready ate so he
sat up at the bar.. and drank beers while i ate and waited
on me.  when they started to hand out awards, i decided
to go back up and sit with him so he wasnt alone.
and i had a cranberry and vodka.  I am going up there tonight..
and see them again, along with a few other people i know.
but .. at the dinner, as i was back sitting with earl. they were on
a microphone still passing out awards.  Then i hear.. Will Jeff
peterson come up here for a minute.  I looked at earl.. and said..
hey.. they just called me.
Now you all know that i have two broken power chairs...
so I go up and Elvis says he isnt good at making speeches.
but he will give it a try.. he says "about two months ago.. jeff
came up and ask if anybody knew how to get his power chair fixed... so
we had a meeting and there was a man named steve.. he is the treasurer
of the airie... and he also works at a medical supply company.  He got
jeff a number to call to get his chair fixed.
well, the company called him back and it all fell thru because they
didnt except his insurance."
at this point. i am in front of 80 people.. standing there. and he has
a business card in his hand..
He goes on and says.. "we found you a place to repair your chair.. and
you can take it up here.. and talk to dave... he will fix it..
and i want you to hold on to this card for the future.. "  I said..
"I WILL THANK YOU!!!!"... that was soooo nice of them..
they found a place to fix my chair!!!!! yaaaahooooO!!!!
then he said.. "you know why i want you to hold on to this card?"
I said "so i can get my chair fixed".. he said.. "yes, and so if this
chair ever breaks you can take it to dave"  then he turns me around..
and they snuck a new power chair up behind me..
brand new!!!!!  I cant believe it.. !!!  I surely wasnt expecting
that!!!!  its a NICE chair!!!
Then, they gave me three tickets to the tampa bay devil rays game !!!!
and said go have fun!!!
what a night.. I am so grateful for the eagles..
And I am thankful for those who have sent me good luck..
and who have me in thei
r thoughts and continue to have me
in their thoughts.
Life sure isnt easy at times.. but when you are at your lowest point..
everything can only go up.. and now, i am on my way back up .. feeling
much better.. and after court on monday.. i will know a finishing date.
Then, I will be able to relax and concentrate on
keeping the roof over my head.  Even the young girl and her boyfriend
and baby moved out.. part way..
