o.k fanghorn. here's your chance to hammer me on my win 7 review. first...one hell of a deal in 3 license's for $150 which ain't a bad price. first I have to say I did clean install's on 2 fairly new systems and the install went without a hitch. all peripherals' were found and drivers were up to date. nice. new installs took roughly 40 minutes per machine. happy and surprised. the speed difference is very noticeable, even after running the rc on the same machines. no noticable changes from rc so I'm guessing the changes were made under the hood. micky soft saw fit to exclude mail, photo viewer, but they can be added with windows live essentials which in theory dismisses any sherman act laws. I like win 7 a lot. like they say...it's vista the way it should have been. now on my list of things to do today, I am going to install it on an old box that is currently running xp. this should give a good test as to the adaptability of win 7 on old systems. gotta say I'm not looking forward to this. it could be like the old days when it took 2 days to reinstall all the programs and drivers. anyway, if anyone is considering upgrading to 7 , skeeter would personally recommend it. if your system is less than 5 years old it should go without a hitch. disclosure....I do NOT work or have any affiliation to micky.[ Auf dieses Posting antworten ]
