Yes because a lack of evidence doesn't impart evidence to a fiction.

Well, yes and no.  Neither of my parents were religious in the
traditional sense.  My father believes in God in a very complex and
private way.  My mother was more doubty, but very proud of her
Jewishness.  I'm pretty similar to her in that regard.

Actually, true story, my father quit the Unitarian Church (yeah, I
know, why bother) because they started advocating Nuclear Freeze and
made the Church a nuclear free zone.

His real religion is Republican.  And that I take from him.
