An Announcement in Four Parts:

1) MEAL BOOKINGS REMINDER

Please fill in your booking forms for your Convention meals by 24th
July. Check the box for each meal you require - food choices are not
required. Please check the 'no meals' box if you don't wish to take
meals from the Convention Menu. You will receive a ballot entry for
checking the 'no meals' box. Ballot details at:

2) THURSDAY EVENING MEAL

Due to the high level of interest, the hotel team have confirmed a
Thursday evening menu. This will be a one course 'pub style' meal in
keeping with the pub quiz, the price is £8.00. The booking deadline
for the Thursday meal is August 8th.

The menu choices are
* Steak and Ale Pie
* Vegetable pie (V)
* Battered fish

All are served with a selection of vegetables and chips or potatoes.

3) THE LUNCH MENU

The lunch menu has now been finalised and the choices are:

* Baguette - Egg mayonnaise and rocket (V), Cheese and salad (V), Ham
and salad, Tuna mayonnaise and cucumber, Chicken tikka and salad

* Jacket Potato served with salad and one of the following fillings:
Tuna mayonnaise and sweetcorn, Beans and cheese (V), Chilli beef,
Chicken tikka, Moroccan lamb, Mediterranean vegetable in salsa sauce (V)

* 8 inch pizza - various toppings (including vegetarian option).

The £5.50 lunch price also includes a chocolate/flapjack cake or piece
of fruit and a canned soft drink (or bottled water or tea/coffee).

The following additional items will also be on sale:

* Crisps - 60p
* Chocolate Cake/Flapjack - £1.00
* Fresh fruit - 50p
* Canned soft drinks - 80p
* Bottled water - £1.00
* Tea & coffee - £1.00

As ever, the hotel will happily cater for special diets alongside these
meals, if they are told of your needs.

4) OTHER HOTEL RESTAURANTS

For general information, the hotel have passed us some additional
information on which other restaurants are likely to operate during the
Convention weekend. In addition to room service and the Lounge menu
they expect to open The Boulevard and possibly Millers Bar.

They have also passed us the 2008 sample menus for these
restaurants/services.
