The so-called "Iraq War" is really a futile exercise in nation building, and nation building does not work! Some of you may remember the less than wise Bill Clinton advisor who said that "If we just stay in Somalia one more year, we can achieve success!" We tried to nation build South Vietnam by installing one puppet government after the next, and they all failed because the Vietnamese people did not want a US controlled government; they wanted their own government. Likewise, the people of America would never accept a Russian or Chinese controlled puppet government in the USA. People all over the world want sovereignty, not foreign domination. The US military was created to destroy nations, not build nations. We won the "war in Iraq" in one month. We are losing the nation building occupation because the Iraqi people do not want us there. Don't let a reduction of US casualties fool you. We have turned Iraq into a prison camp, so we have temporarily quelled some of the violence. As soon as we leave, be it next year or ten years from now, the Iraqi people will still be the Iraqi people, not Americans, and they will find their own government and top dog leader through violence, corruption, and other non-democratic means. Even the USA's own "democracy" is sick, corrupt, unfair, and undemocratic. Expecting that US troops can somehow civilize Iraq is a pipe dream and a nightmare for our economy and our Federal budget deficit. Pouring billions every month down a drain called "Iraq" is not good policy, and John McCain should realize that fact. John McCain's energy and agricultural polices are far superior to Obama's insane and destructive energy and agricultural policies, but Obama is correct is saying that we should withdraw from Iraq as soon as possible. http://home.att.net/~meditation/bio-fuel-hoax.html - Obama's insane energy policies Christopher Calder[ Auf dieses Posting antworten ]
