I see by your headers it should have worked either way, Thoth I am not privvy to use (altho I did pay a registration fee for it a long(!) time ago, he might have forgotten me). I use the newer Pan news-reader, open–source & all that, roll my own builds of the Gnome libraries & what-not, compiled newer versions of X11 myself also, still using Tiger tho (being an old *BSD person myself, btw, Leopard still has problems when it comes to OSS).
