Looking for host Programm

Hello,

some friends and I enjoy play planets for severals years. Til now we host our
games ourself. Normally i run the host three times a week manualy.

We know that there are possibilities to run host automatically on a server which
accepts emails, checks turn files, mails rst etc.

Can someone tell me which programm i need or give me some hints how i have to
install a standalone host? What do i need, a normal web server or something special?

If anyone has a documentation it would be nice if there is a way to get it.
