On my main system contnue to play my level 51 toons, and just > have the level 1 new-box toon tag along, in 'follow' mode but never > attacking or getting involved. I've done this when recruit-a-friend came out, and so far have leveled my two character team up to level 37. A few points (in no particular order): 1) It makes most sense to level two characters together. If a mob is gray to either character, no 3X xp. If a quest is gray to either character, no 3X xp. So attempting to boost a friend with your level 70 will not work worth a damn. Blizzard isn't stupid; the intent is for friends to quest and level together and the program makes a good attempt at restricting it to prevent boosting from high-level to low-level toons. 2) Find a helper who can boost your dual-box team. For example, I had a 70 hunter friend of mine boost my 2-man team through stocks about a half dozen times. Got me a good 6+ levels. 3) Yes aggro radius matters. This is always an issue when boosting toons through a place like SM. A 70 can almost walk right past mobs without aggroing them, while a level 25 is pulling aggro from across the room. 4) Save up your gifted levels. Your friend can gift levels back to your main account, but it only works up to a maximum of level 60. So what you want to do is wait until your main account has a toon at level 30, and your friend account has a toon at level 60, and then you can instantly gift that toon on your main account from 30 to 60. 5) 3X XP on quests means you will outgrow quests quickly. While this is an advantage of the RAF program, it also means that you can start a chain and it will quickly turn green or gray sometimes before you get a chance to complete it. You end up skipping content and leap-frogging over zones. 6) Dual-boxing is fun! This is my first experience with it, and I've got two toons running around questing together. It's like the old RPGs I used to play a decade ago where I could create parties of characters rather than being restricted to playing one toon at a time. It's also challenging if you play two different classes at the same time (I'm dual-boxing a warrior and a shaman). The simpler way is to dual-box the same class (two shamans, or two warlocks, etc). ----------------------------------------------------------- Posted using Android Newsgroup Downloader: .... http://www.sb-software.com/android -----------------------------------------------------------[ Auf dieses Posting antworten ]
