Nitrite (NO2) ppm (mg/L) = 3.0-5.0 (Stress to Danger)
I have a 300 gallon Rubbermaid tank outside and it has a heater which keeps
the water temperature around 40-45 F even if it is freezing (~32F). I also
have the regulat filter/pump running. I stopped feeding the KOIs about 1.5
months ago. I test the water and it shows the Nitrite is high {Nitrite
(NO2) ppm (mg/L) = 3.0-5.0, Stress-to-Danger}. What is the cause of high
Nitrite and should I worry about it or do anything to lower it?
Thanks for any help,
