City maps in lillustrator

I will only tell you this once: I am steggy but only my hotmail address
will reveal that from now on.;)




This weekend I was working on a vector drawn map of a part of one city
here in The Netherlands. Suddenly came up, nice job to get acquainted
again with the pen tool, right?

When I was discussing this project with the lady of the City Hall she
was not aware of the advantages of vector. So I explained. And got to work.

I hope they will be satisfied, but my question: is there a market for
that do you think? I suddenly thougt of drawing all Dutch cities in
vector...maybe all cities of the world, in my free time of course, it is
a hell of a job;))

But those can be sold. Now you only have maps on paper or as raster as
far as I see. Did some googling. And do you know the huge map maker
Falkland? They ask 1,200 euro for every use on print or web....while I
thought I bought it in the local bookstore!
