Drop shadow effect does not show up in Illustrator CS3

Hi,

I am trying to use the drop shadow effect in Illustrator CS3... but I
cannot find it! I searched the Adobe Help Viewer, I checked both
"Effet > Stylize" and "Filter > Drop Shadow" in the menu bar...
in
vain. The drop shadow effect does not show up.

Am I missing something?
