Demonoid blocks connections from the Netherlands?

It seems that the copyright fascists have harassed Demonoid to force them to block Dutch IP addresses (or at least, that's the only reason I can think of why they might block Dutch IP addresses). When I try to reach www.demonoid.com directly, it refuses to load the site, but when I connect via a foreign proxy (proxy.org), I have no problems logging in at Demonoid with my account and downloading/ sharing bitstrings with other collectors. Does anyone know the details regarding this mysterious block?
