So long, alt.magic buddies

Hi, everyone (or anyone still here),

I guess it's time to accept the fact that Usenet is dead. There are
still some fine magic sites out there. Check out MagicCafe.com for a
really great one, if you haven't already. Just one of many. The Genii
forum is another one not to be missed.

This group was hard to get going. Once in place, it was fantastic!
Pretty much took the place of the bulliten boards, didn't it? We got
tired of waiting for old news delivered even later, and this was the
place to be. I mentioned Peg and the IBMSAM chat room recently and
someone actually remembered. I get teary-eyed thinking of it (well,
her anyway).

Times change, and we must change with it. I don't even know if any of
the old folks are seeing this note. Perhaps they are long gone. I just
didn't want to sign off before giving a farewell.

Thanks for all the news, the rumors, the speculation, and the debate.
It was all in great fun. I'll miss you guys, but the truth is, you are
probably already gone.
