Spielburg and the Sacred - by Seung Bum Kim (for Foxnews and other
Since Spielburg dealt with the value of one man as in itself worth
saving in Saving Private Ryan, using the idea of statistics which
consists of numbers where man cannot be reduced to a numerical value,
the sacred nature of life is disclosed. Though in trying to achieve it
there is mass slaughter. Love is in principle so it sacrifices life.
The sacred and Holy often become a pernicious threat to the outcasts
in his movies or the villains. There is evidence of the underground
man here. It is a big show like the scene on the cross..and both the
heros and the antagonists contribute to the show through director's
perspective..where they both serve the same master in a sense.

absurd accidents. Which would break the effect of perfection. And upon
spilling the milk, the man as a crying infant is cast out the staged
and banished as the Philosopher King.
