I realise that this groups is all-but-dead but I want to share this with those who still check in: The other night I was sitting at my computer checking the news after getting home from work. I had been home about 20min when Briar, our 7month old CAG, called my name to get my attention (this is something he's learned to do when he wants to say something /to/ one of us instead of general chatter). When I turned and looked at him he said "David... go work" with a serious tone.I cocked my head and started to tell him I was home for the night when he said in a lighter tone " David /nooo/ work" and then he laughed (emphasis on 'no' was his). It took me a moment, but anyone who's had a toddler will realise that he'd just told a joke. Ok, he's no Groucho Marx and the joke didn't approach even 1st grade humor but the basics, misdirection/clarification structure and intent, were there.[ Auf dieses Posting antworten ]
