I bought Shock Doctrine only a month or two ago and haven't even finished it yet, but Ms. Klein is already my #1 heroine. (I'm reading it slowly partly because I get too filled with disgust with the neocons to continue.) One thing I didn't realize before reading the book is that the tragic down-spiral in post-invasion Iraq (looting, etc.) was *not* a result of Cheney-Rumsfeld incompetence but was *deliberate.* (This isn't just Klein's "theory": she quotes the neocons themselves to that effect.) Amusing that the right-wing idiots in these newsgroups haven't responded. Actually, *read a book*??? Nah... James Dow Allen[ Auf dieses Posting antworten ]
