"É(eh)PC proposed EI benefits are BEST!" says É( eh)PC President/Party Leader

Hi Althia (Ms. Raj),

I'm responding to your Toronto Sun September 15th article, "Feds top
up EI benefits".

I personally believe a MORE! APPROPRIATE title could have been "Feds
DELAYED!
toping up EI benefits that - in the end - benefit THE FEW - ONLY!
temporarily."

I canNOT believe the conditions of this TEMPORARY! FIX to the
Employment Insurance
Program that will last just until the fall of 1011: only those that
contributed for seven
(7) out of the 10 past years qualify provided that they did NOT
collect EI benefits for
more than 35 weeks in the past five (5) years.

Currently, EI is DISCRIMINATORY because ONLY! 58% according to Stats
Canada
who pay into it can receive it.

It means that 42% are being DOUBLE-CROSSED! by their Government.

Is this FAIR?

NO! It's - BLATANTLY - NOT!

The Government is saying that this is FINE!

The Government is saying that the BROKEN! EI program is FINE!

The Government is saying it only needs a TEMPORARY PATCH.

Why NOT fix it for good?

The UNEMPLOYED doN'T matter?

Is that THE REAL! MESSAGE?

What's MADDENING is the fact that it does NOT solve the problem
of NO! JOBS for several years to come.

This means TODAY'S JOBLESS are faced with the prospect of
LOSING EVERYTHING! (investments, savings, salable assets)
before being able to qualify for social assistance which comes
with an "obligatory" social worker.

And IF! they work part-time, the $$$ they earn will be taken off
their NEXT month's social assistance cheque which means they
canNOT supplement their meager social assistance income with
part-time work.

HOW RIDICULOUS! is that?

With an É(eh)PC Government things would be far different.

Canadians would NOT lose everything before qualifying for social
assistance
and SOCIAL ASSISTANCE LEVELS would be DOUBLE! what they are now.

They would AUTOMATICALLY get social assistance in the month in which
they lose their job.

PLUS! those on social assistance will be allowed to supplement their
social
assistance income with $$$ earned from a part-time job.

Why?

The goal of an É(eh)PC Government is to help people become
INDEPENDENTLY
WEALTHY.

PLUS! those on social assistance would get a FREE! BUS PASS so they
can get
around.

Right now, those on social assistance are IMMOBILIZED! because they do
NOT!
have the $$$ to take public transportation.

Needless to say this NEGATIVELY! impacts on their health. their
quality of life,
and their freedom.

More importantly, though, the É(eh)PC *proposed* EI benefits are the
BEST!
because they're EASY TO UNDERSTAND.

They're outlined in Article 1.7.4 of the É(eh)PC political platform

Employment insurance (EI) will be 100% of salary
for six (6) months minimum after having worked four (4) months;
eight (8) months after having worked 1.5 years;
twelve (12) months after having worked two (2) years
for the same organization.

Canadians are FED UP with 100% CROOKED! FASCIST "behind closed doors"
Government.

They want prosperity-based CLEAN! Government whose expenses they can
monitor, a socially responsible Government that will REDISTRIBUTE THE
WEALTH and a Government that will CREATE JOBS by making the creation
of small businesses *THE* PRIORITY OF GOVERNMENT.

In other words, Canadians want an É(eh)PC Government FOR A BETTER!
LIFE.
