I was reading the conservative National Review magazine, in which they were writing editorials warning McCain not to choose Lieberman or else the conservatives would revolt at the convention. Romney was being pushed by *National Review* and the rest of the William F. Buckley type of conservatives; Karl Rove, your favorite boogeyman, had very little to do with that. For a whole year, the National Review had been pushing Romney, first for President; and then after McCain got the nomination, they started pushing him for Vice President. Go to National Review Online website, and read the articles written over the past few weeks by Kathryn Jean Lopez, the editor of NRO. It will corroborate my story. -- Steven L.
