No idea what you're babbling about.  I never said anything of the kind.

What do we need more oil for?  I thought you said people were "conserving"
and cutting back on oil usage because of high prices?  When America's oil
needs are reduced, then we won't need to drill in ANWR.  That is, unless you
think Mexico and Canada are a threat to the US.

Riddle me this:  If Americans are conserving as you suggest, then oil demand
is dropping.  Why, then, is the market price for oil going through the roof
?

Ok, so what's your point?  BTW: The majority of US oil imports come from
Mexico and Canada.  Are either of those nations threatening to the US?

I'm glad we agree that drilling is not the best solution, and will not
reduce oil prices.  There is absolutely no reason to assume that
multinational corporations exploiting ANWR will sell the oil at anything but
market prices, nor will they sell the oil exclusively to Americans. IOW:
It's a non-starter.  It would be far better to sit on ANWR as a "last
resort" oil reserve for when global supplies are much closer to extinction.
Strategically, it makes little sense to exploit ANWR now so we can blow
through it in 1-2 years driving our 10MPG SUV's.

people who scream that they will keep driving their Hummers are *conserving*
