Anonymizing the Internet

When reading this article, I kept wondering if it would be feasible to encrypt the entire
Internet using VPN's and SSL. After all, the governments, including our so-called
'Democratic Governments' would like nothing less than to track and monitor and eventually
control all of us. I wonder how long before they ban remailers because they can't *punish*
the people who criticize or expose them.

I believe, we, the freedom loving people of the world have no choice but to fight back
against our governments, including the democratic ones, who justify draconian,
privacy-robbing measures by citing terrorism and child pornography.
