An excerpt:

========================

1. What if the owner slept with the female residents? If we view
those drug addicted people as "sick people" who are trying to
recover from being sick, and by virtue of the term "recovery
house" would that not seem to apply that the owner very well knows
the "diminished capacity" of a resident? Is this not violating the
same reason psychiatrists are prohibited from sleeping with
patients?

2. What if female residents were belittled, called "crack whores,"
and if didn't have sex with the owner, faced jail time for being
kicked out [not completing the program?] Judges requiring people to
complete a rehab of some kind bring people to the Owl's Nest, so
what happens to a female resident if she were to refuse being
blackmailed?

[...]

10. What if a suicide from a [past or current?] resident occurs? By
practicing medicine ["behavioral therapy"] without a license, any
quack or charlatan could make any claim to help people while, in
reality, compounding or causing more problems for the "patient."
"The patient," having put his life in the hands of this facility,
assuming he is now in good hands, could deem his situation as
hopeless and bleak when feeling worse about his condition and not
better. Had he been in the hands of a doctor or a licensed or
certified facility, they would have abided to "first do no harm"
and his situation would at least not have degenerated.

11. What if the staff of this facility consisted of any person the
owner felt could be trusted - usually past residents who themselves
may have been abused but may be suffering from Stockholm syndrome?
What if the staff of this recovery house was not clean? What if the
owner had been purported as smoking crack with the very residents
they have claimed to be helping?

12. What if residents were not getting enough food or sleep?

13. What if the owner forced a woman to make a sign that said "I am
a crack whore and liar. I need help." and dropped her off on a road
in the middle of the night? What if he retrieved her after he felt
she had "learned her lesson?"

14. What if past residents had fear for their life because the
owner said he would kill them if they ever went forward with their
stories?

========================

These are some of the allegations being made to persons such as me
and other private citizens. This is happening in Florence, South
Carolina and agencies have been called, approached, and written.
Nothing is being done.

Food stamp fraud, sexual misconduct, physical abuse, psychological
abuse, threats of violence and murder...allegations made by more
than several peple over the course of over two years as it
continually degrades into what some people are calling "Another
Waco."

Please do a Google search for "cults" and characteristics of a cult
and know that if you see Florence, South Carolina on the news one
day in association with something called the Owl's Nest that there
did exist a community of over 50 people who actively sought help
and pleaded for an investigation or help from the following
agencies:

-- Department of Social Services in Florence, South Carolina
-- http://www.scaadac.org/

We do not know where to turn or who to ask for help.

Please pass this along to whomever you think could help.
Thank you.
