We had our semi-anual festival today, Street Fair. Strange enough we had the perfect weather and tons of people. I got some good stuff to eat, had a beer, but didn't see anyone I knew. That's when I noticed the booth at the fair with a few young strolling magicians. I remembered reading on the IBM's website that they were going to be in town so I stopped by to say Hi. The youngest one did a trick with a hankerchief, but it was hard to tell exactly what she was trying to acomplish. The end result was she made an oragami mouse out of it, and it crawled onto her shoulders almost by itself. Then I saw a friend of mine who had seen another one of those magicians doing rope tricks. He cuts the rope, and it magically came back together. The tricks weren't quite so amazing, but were still really good. I had seen him do that one before. So we both stopped by again, and asked if we could see some more magic. He did a card trick that actually scared us, and I told him it had to be real magic. I couldn't catch him doing any of the sleights I've read about, I just picked any card I wanted to, and he let my friend put it back into the deck & shuffle it up. Then he just pulled the card off the top of the deck, showed it to us, and without even putting it back down on the deck it transformed into our 6 of diamonds. Then he started doing coin tricks, and I've studied coin tricks too. He was a master. I mean these coin tricks were impossible, and I couldn't catch any of his moves. His coins weren't gimicked either. He did a whole 6 or 7 minuet routine with them. Other folks at the fair saw him preform, and he did some card tricks for him, that were even more amazing than the ones I saw. I'm telling you it was REAL MAGIC! I may have well of been watching Chris Angel or David Blane. It was more fun than even seeing David Copperfield. If you like magic just call up the international brotherhood of magicians. I'm telling you, reading about magic online or buying tricks from magic shops isn't going to be any fun, and it isn't going to do you any good. You have to go and see the real deal![ Auf dieses Posting antworten ]
