WEST COAST OLDIES BATTLE ON ROCK-IT RADIO SHOW #2562. It's hard to believe that this year marks Rock-it Radio's tenth anniversary! That means its time for the Tenth Annual Memory Lane Show East/West Battle. Every year, legendary East Coast DJ Bill Green comes into Studo B with an armload of East Coast records. Lane Quigley then matches each of them with a West Coast record that has some common thread. Listeners vote round-by-round on their favorites and with their votes, they are automatically entered into the prize drawing. So far, the East has won four of the showdowns, the West has four victories, and there has been one draw. This year, you can help break the tie! For the entire month of June, you can listen and vote by clicking on Rock-it Radio Show # 2562 on the Archives Page. There are 12 rounds, and as you listen make a note of your preference for each of the rounds. When the show is over, send your votes to MemoryLaneShow@aol.com . You may wish to copy-and-paste the playlist below into a separate e- mail, mark your choices, and send them in -- or you can simply send a list of your choices, whichever is easier for you. At the end of the month, five lucky winners will be selected at random to receive some terrific prizes from the RockitRadio Launching Pad, courtesy of Bennie Dingo in Studio A.
