Following a thread on objects potentially hindering receiving signal from some satellites and hoping it can be to help for someone, I remind anyone interested that in these days the Sun is moving in the sky along the Clarke belt. The best day will be March 3rd after which the Sun will get higher on the horizon respect to the belt. Next chance: first days of October (apart doing some tricks). Every hour of the day corresponds to a satellite position. Any shadow on your dish means an obstacle for the signal to reach your dish. Clear sky required, though! A good help is the software Gorbtrack: http://members.chello.nl/~berry.walda/GorbTrack_EN.htm Enjoy and check (especially tree branches... they have a nasty tendency to grow year after year :-) )!
