Also, the statement was not about the speed of light. It just seems to
mention the speed difference of the two colliding protons (which is
2c, as you know). Confusing this speed difference with the speed
of one proton observed by the other is an often made error, but it's
not clear whether Brad was actually making it here.. (are you?)

Anyway, it certainly isn't going to help the little protons! How can we
save them from being smashed and quenched?! It seems their only chance
of escape is the gaint magnetic wormhole in the cryogenic supermagnets,
but then there is 33.3% chance that the whole earth will be sucked in!

So what should the protons do?
