Americans don,t know history of their own

About fifteen years ago in New York were large festivals of Columbus
coming to the american islands. The event had historical meaning but
only hundreds of years after Columbus death. American continents had
been "found" and conquered thousands of times during thousands of
years of history by asian ancient empiers of China and Mongols and
empires before them. Also european powers for instance Norwegians had
their colonies before Columbus. The wars ensued and history resembles
the stories in Torah and Tanach and the history of the whole world as
a whole.
So that is not news. But founders of America Marttinen, Washington
and Jefferson had the idea of liberty and that was a new thing that
few in America knows. For instance foreign minister Hilary Clinton
seems not to know the statue of liberty in New York, that is natural
because nobody cann,t know such a big country as USA in details- it is
impossible. You have to make choices.
