Check with your telco - mine (Telus - www.telus.com) offers a
fax-to-email service that sends your incoming faxes to up to three email
addresses in PDF or TIF format.  They even give you a dedicated number
in your own area code, and/or a toll-free number.  It doesn't have
outgoing support, but an $80 all-in-one can handle that... or pick up an
old used fax machine at a flea market or something.
