Hi, I have a bought a new laptop (unfortunately with vista) and wanted to open old containers, created years back on windows 98 I believe. First I recognized, that my version of drivecrypt (4.2) does cause bsod when dismounting drivecrypt containers on vista, scramdisk containers do not open at all - dc still asks for the password even if I'm sure I'm typing the correct one. So I went to drivcrypt site and downloaded the demo (dc 4.61), but it behaves the same, except it does not cause the bsod. Drivecrypt containers are mounted and dismounted fine, scramdisk containers can not be opened at all - dc is still asking for password as if it is bad one. On my old computer with XP everything works fine with dc 4.2 - both scramisk and drivecrypt containers are working fine. Is it a problem only with demo or with the full version too? As far as I remember, some old demo of drivecrypt I tried told me that it won't open scramdisk container until I'll buy full version. I'd buy the new driverypt, but when it does not work, it would be only a waste of money. Buying a copy of XP and reinstalling notebook would be perhaps cheaper, vista sucks anyway, but there are no official xp drivers for my nb :( Now I know I should have stayed away from fujitsu siemens, my friend has new toshiba and have drivers for xp and vista, maybe I should replace the whole notebook :o) That thing with drivecrypt makes me crazy, I was very satisfied with it, but does the new version suck? Thanks in advance.[ Auf dieses Posting antworten ]
