We had about fourty Scooter riders which now-a-days is a pretty big ride. The ride took off as usual from Pier 39 and went up telegraph hill. Then it went to the golden gate Bridge and then out to the beach and thru the park to the Haight Ashbury's MickD's. From there down Haight street back down to the Embarcadero and then back to the Pier 39 meeting area ! We started riding at about 11:30a.m. and finished riding at about 5:30p.m. give or take a bit of time. There was a big raffle to rase money for finding a cure for breast cancer. Which saw a lot of parts Raffeled away from PMW, Myrons Extreme Machines plus Cambrian Go-Karts. The goodies were really cool Helmets,Billet Decks,Pipes,Dvd's,Stick Clamps,ect.,ect.. After the raffel the ride started and you should of seen them take off it was simply awesome! The only hitch of the day came as the pack of riders were almost out of the Presideo as you go down the big sweeping S turns approching Sea Cliff. When Suzy-Q-Law showed up with blazing lights and made a big stink for everyone. One underaged rider and parent was ferried back to there car with there Scooters but were not detained or ticketed. She wanted to know whom was in charge of the ride and when she found out that "Nobody" was in charge. she almost blew a head gasket, lol ! Finally back on track the ride continued for myself I didnt have a Scooter prepaired for the ride. So after taking the mother load of pix's of the start of the start of the Ride.I raced back to the studio and spent an hour prepairing a brand new GSR46rSE. I removed the Deck and put on a Billett Edge Deck, pumped way up the pocket bike racing tires pressure for street riding,re-routed the Exhaust system out of the frame,re-set Carb setting and raced over to the gas station for a fuel up ! Then off to the ride. I caught up with the pack comming down Haight street and joined then for the rest of the ride ! After the ride was over I then retraced the ride to the Bridge and back tracked to the Embaracedero so I could have a bit of a ride myself and then the long way back to the shop. The GSR46rSE ran great but the factory tune was way off. However with less then two tanks of gas the pull start completly crapped out .When pulled it refused to retract and has stayed that way I'm cornfused? If this were a Japanese Zenoha motor Im sure it wouldnt of happened however it was a Chinese Mainland motor and at that point all bets are off on Quality ! So there ya go the 2007 S.F. Ride was a great success and a lot of fun had by all !...Ped Racer D[ Auf dieses Posting antworten ]
