It is very likely Talosian kids start out with relatively small heads only to have them expand greatly once they begin to get Mother's Milk and so on. - If we are to take the imagined 'Monster from the ID' at face value the Krell, while bipedal (two footed) didn't have a long leg/ long torso structure like us. (AS in a tube standing straight up). They (may have been) were built more like the front half of a bull dog, just the front legs and skull but no waist or rear end.
