Periphery players during the TOS years, specifically Doohan, Nichols and Takei (I did spell those right, didn't I?), complained to everyone and anyone who didn't have the good sense to run away about being relegated to the background during Treks TV and movie years... even though there were several episodes during the three-year run of the TV series that spotlighted (spotlit?) those characters. Of course, they all blamed Shatner, who neither wrote, directed nor produced the series. Now, we have the new movie franchise (three films planned) whose periphery players (specifically Simon Pegg and John Cho) have either starred in or carried movies of their own... how are THEY (legitimate "movie stars" ) gonna respond to being left out of the Triumvirate of Kirk/Spock/McCoy? Are THEY gonna blame Mr. Shatner as well? -- "It's appropriate that television is called a medium because rarely is it well done." - Ernie Kovacks (1919 - 1962)[ Auf dieses Posting antworten ]
