Hi everyone: "Patrick Ashley Meuser"-Bianca"" <pmeuser@cogeco.ca> wrote in message news:_YAuh.3225$WL2.1334@read1.cgocable.net... > Just off the com-link. With speeds achieved, warp 10.5. I've heard they've just released one that will go up to Warp 15 now. What do you know about that one Patrick? We need one that can travel to and from Delta Quadrant (Using Alpha Quadrant as the starting point). Do you suppose that either the Defiant or the Columbia can somehow be fitted with this type of Warp Drive? If so, how soon? Also, how soon can/will run abouts and delta flyers be fitted for this type of Warp Drive? > Stay tuned for updates, although still in its experimental stages, it > promises a reflexive means of asserting charge and time conservation in > developing systems of government, and advancing technological advance > throughout the quadrant, proportional to the speeds it is able to achieve. > The system has been in development for approximately seven years. As I mentioned in the past, the Drucari system is a big system and there are some planets we just can't reach any other way except via temporal transporters and such. And we still have Genesis III going, though we've had to be VERY careful with how we use the Temporal Transporter systems for this project, which has made things a little rough and slow-going, but at least it's still going. But even then, most (If not ALL) of the transporting for the Genesis III Project is now handled by Drucari Ground Station (That's where we store our cargo). That said, because of the sensitivity of some of the planets within the Drucari system under development and the cargo being transported, we'd rather use switch from Temporal Transporters to Long Range Standard Transporters, both from Ground Station. That said, the Engineering Department has been working on a design for a Temporal Warp Drive which will, if allowed to be designed, allow us to travel through time. Of course because of the Temporal Prime Directive, I have my reservartions about the future of the project. But if they can provide TAMPERPROOF safeguards that will prevent us from wandering into the future, I told them I *might* consider bringing it before the higher ups. But even then, there's no guarantee THEY will be sold on it. Anyhow...I'm just curious to know more about that new Warp Drive Patrick (Again, what's your rank or do you even have one?) :) Cheers :D Captain Patrick D.
