But I'm brand new to arthritis newsgroups. A good friend was just
diagnosed with RA. And I ain't getting any younger either (now 57)!
But I do have an answer for you, which most likely was offered by
another, in an earlier thread. Here it is:
How does one keep from going bonkers due to the sudden and tragic loss
of one's child?
God's love takes over. The psychic endorphins kick in. Remember "yin
and yang": There's always SOME bad in a buncha good, and vice versa.
Or as we westerners put it: "Every cloud has a silver lining."
And in the case of your child's demise, the silver lining would be
greater wisdom than one could ever imagine...and the ability to heal
those who come to suffer likewise, thus in DESPERATE need of solace.
We may not understand God's love, and it may not SEEM like this, but I
assure you: He is always there for us, when we most need Him! There is
absolutely, indisputably, unerringly and unwaveringly NO exception
whatsoever.
I say this as a PAGAN healer dedicated to our LGBT (gay) family,
Replace God's love with Goddess's if you wish...or "It" or "The Great
Unknown One" or even " Kosmik Ladye". Not sure how I'd translate my
optimistic insight to include an atheist spin...and for that, I
sincerely apologize. I try to come up with the most optimistic answer
that appeals to as wide a group of belief systems as possible.
