Since 2005 one of the cornerstones in my managing my diabetes has been riding my bicycle to work. I have since clocked up over 22 thousand kilometres, burning off much glucose, and undoubtedly improving my cardio. At my age of 60 it was, however getting tiring, and several times I contemplated cutting my riding down - less frequently, or driving part of the way. Each time I decided to keep on riding the full distance. Eventually I decided that the only two things which would stop me were either getting injured or killed by a car, or getting a heart attack. There was a third option - redundancy. That will take effect at the end of the month. As well as financial challenges, there will be the challenge of finding an alternate riding outlet, and the motivation to do so. Henry Mydlarz (apologies if this has been sent twice. There were problems with my ISP news server)[ Auf dieses Posting antworten ]
