considering various replies already offered; considering the choice of diction in your question; considering the dearth of information re: possible setting, people involved in an act, precise definition of terms...to mention a few examples; considering the possible significations of the question, in terms of what is signified by the unstated terms that reside in binary relationships to the terms that are stated -- i.e.: when one thinks of sleep, one _usually_ understands it as being "not awake," hence, various questions emerge pertaining to a state of consciousness; then, for another example, comprehension of "to be 'active'" relies on knowledge or perception of "to be 'passive',"; then a particular act often has many different terms that signify it, as does the one below the spoiler. cultural perspectives & temporal attitudes can affect how any one of the terms is construed by a reader; considering the signification of the spoiler, & then considering that the spoiler is emphatically signified by its introduction as being "very spoilered;" considering that the extremely brief post is headed as a "really stupid question," & then framed by a preface that signifies that the post will be inflammatory, perhaps even deliberately inflammatory -- "very spoilered" "no splats" "crude language"; i respond to that which is below the spoiler by thinking that the writer feels anger, first & most, plus confusion that is larger than the signified/implied event... not just large confusion, but free floating. also, i think that the confusion most pointedly includes & affects the act that is signified by the most inflammatory term in the post. & that confusion, mixed w/anger may possibly (tho not conclusively -- iow, i offer this _only_ as a suggestion) provoke one into blurting out something that expresses anger -- the post in its entirety, feels caustic, to me. i don't feel that the anger expressed via the visual design of the post in combination with the particular words, all the words both pre-spoiler & post, is directed toward me or necessarily toward anyone in particular, but i think that they might be aimed at someone. i think that the anger is also free floating & therefore easily able to land on any reader of the post. the post is spoilered for that reason, clearly, however, i think that the warning ahead of the spoiler signifies some of the anger, even w/out the long spoiler & the brief post below it. and so, after all that, i think that the question that is asked can't possibly be answered by anyone except astri, or whoever wrote the question & posted it from astri's handle/addy/port into asd. maybe that is some of the reason that the first words of the provocative post, those in the header, are: "really stupid question." maybe someone designed the post & placed it @ asd w/some degree of self-conscious knowledge that the question w/in it is peculiarly personally private, altho the anger that it provokes in the questioner demands to be expressed publicly & largely -- grandly -- ferociously -- defensively by operating offensively. all of that said & considered: i can't possibly fathom an answer to the question that eludes me, always, as being as totally vague as it is provocative. tho the terms are strong, they are poorly defined by their broad arrays of possible significations. good luck, astri, in figuring out an answer, or at least in making some sense of it. i hope that my ponderings & the various other, & numerous responses that the post evoked(evokes) can assist in that endeavor. trill "astri" <invalid@example.com> wrote in message news:Pine.BSI.4.64.0710190836470.22394@malasada.lava.net... > very spoilered for sx > no splats > crude language > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > why would anyone want to fuck someone who is sleeping? > > -- astri > > ===================== > to email send to astri > ===================== > at volcano dot org > ===================== > >[ Auf dieses Posting antworten ]
