isn't clear that the body isn't actually hungry.  you're not feeling
hungry.  maybe they are.  body is losing weight.  that means body is
hungry.

supposedly, evolution has made us into creatures who crave sweet and
fat because those flavors mean survival advantage in lean times.

when we were in the hospital for the ed, they fed us insane amounts of
food.  the body kept losing weight.  they kept upping the daily
calories.  that happened to practically everyone.  they explained that
the body needed way lots of calories to repair connective tissues and
stuff that had been damaged by the starvation.
