dear char, what a lovely letter. i am so sorry for the loss of your parents; your mother - by consciously chosing to make a decision about the end of her life - showed a strength that i don't know that i have. i understand feeling like an orphan, it was one of those secrets i had to find out about for myself when my mother died. i also understand talking to her troll dolls ... sending your love to your parents through an object they owned. someone recently posted and asked if it was possible to "talk about grief from a dispassionate, non-personal point of view." like grandby, i just don't know how to do that. everything about my daughter's death is passionate and personal for me, i can't see that it will ever be any other way. savannah had just turned 22 years old. suddenly, unexpectedly, without prior symptoms or any warning, she collapsed on our floor. she was dying as i reached her in less than 30 seconds. gone. gone forever from a congenital heart defect. the pain we all go through with the loss of a loved one is beyond what any words can explain. but here, when we talk about the pain we also share the love we have for them and love is forever. welcome, donna[ Auf dieses Posting antworten ]
