No, Brandon says it bespeaks an insanity specific to youth, and which,
he claims, does NOT continue throughout hormonally-driven adult life,
and that just simply isn't in the evidence.

If you oppress, dishonor/disrespect an adult for ten to fifteen years
you will induce EXACTLY the SAME kind of rebellion and manic individual
assertion. It is NOT some magic feature of adolescence, it is a normal
human behavior when that kind of abuse and repression is the immediate
previsous experience.
